To offer more benefits to our associated Network Groups, the Hand Weavers & Spinners Guild of NSW Inc has arranged "umbrella" public risk insurance cover at better rates for small groups of spinners and weavers within NSW.

This cover is offered under the following terms:

Public Liability $10,000,000 for any one occurrence and unlimited in the Policy period.
Products Liability $10,000,000 any one occurrence and in the aggregate in period.
Description of activities: Hand weaving, spinning and associated crafts, instruction, workshops, education, meetings and retail sales of hand weaving, spinning and equipment.

Groups wishing to avail themselves of this cover must be current Network Groups members of the NSW Guild (annual membership, 2007, $53).

Cover is through the brokers Webster Hyde Heath and is a Broadform policy with QBE Insurance Australia available from 3 October each year.

Rates for cover in 2007 are as follows:

Club with 1-20 members: flat $70.95
Club with 21-200 members: $3.11 per member (eg 31 members $96.41)

An application form is available from Phil Dunn and should be completed and returned to the Guild together with a cheque for the appropriate amount. Plus, if not already a Network Group member, a membership application and cheque for $53 (for new members this subscription will be valid until December 2007).

Clubs registering for insurance will each receive their own policy document, and any special requirements should be noted on the application form.
