SS10 Explore the Creative Possibilities of Wonderful Long Wool with Jen Eddington

One-day course: Thursday, 11 January 2018
at Guild Rooms, Burwood
The aim of this course is to experience the creative possibilities of using wool from a variety of longwool sheep. Work with the Longwool Kit, designed especially for this course, and learn various techniques for spinning longwools from rare-breeds including English Leicester, Border Leicester, Lincoln, Coopworth and Romney. This workshop will also include a demonstration of felting with longwool.
Skill Level: Advanced beginners and beyond; not suitable for beginners. This course will benefit spinners working towards CCHS.
Equipment: Spinning wheel and basic equipment.
Materials: Longwool Kit (200 g + fibre) – $30.
