SS9 Choosing Fleece for Spinning with Jen Eddington

Develop your skills to confidently select fleece for hand-spinning. You will skirt a fleece and learn how to choose fleece for hand-spinning projects, work with all types of fleece and identifying faults to avoid in fleece. Wash, card and comb fleece. This hands-on courseworks with raw wool, so please ensure your tetanus immunisation is up-to-date and wear an apron or other protective clothing. Jen will provide notes and a certificate of completion. This course will benefit spinners working towards the CCHS.
Skill Level: No previous experience necessary
Equipment: Spinning wheel, apron and bag for taking fleece home
Materials: Fleece Kit – $10
The Black and Coloured Sheep Breeders Association of Australia (NSW) Inc., South Coast and Southern Tablelands Branch generously donated fleece for this course.
