Welcome to the Hand Weavers and Spinners Guild of NSW Inc

The next guild meeting will be held from 1:30pm in the church hall behind St Paul's, 205 Burwood Road, Burwood, Sydney on Saturday, October 25, 2008.

Liz Calnan has taught weaving classes for the Guild for many years. She is exhibits and sells her weaving and recently won a prestigious prize in the USA. She will talk about what keeps her fascinated by the craft.

October Mini Workshop:
How to keep and record wonderful ideas, inspirations and successes or Ways of keeping a BRAG BOOK
Bring what you bought at Open Day and share your plans for it/them. Brainstorm ways to store your inspiration of the day and plan your project. All ideas accepted and appreciated.

Mini workshops start at 10:30 am on Meeting Days. Meet in the small hall below the Guild rooms. There is a participation fee of $2 and sometimes a materials fee.

If you've always wanted to try spinning or weaving, but have been putting it off, the Guild has regular classes.

Summer School 2009

For those wanting to learn a new technique or try a new twist on something more familiar, the Guild offers workshops covering many areas of interest. Our Summer School 2009 offers a choice of nine workshops lasting from one to four days from 12 to 21 January.
