After eight very happy, successful years at the Turpentine Tree, Kurrajong Handspun Crafts Inc will host the Back to Back at a new venue:
Farm Panaroma
2570 Bells Line of Road, Bilpin (next to Bilpin Hall)
Parking will be in the grounds of Bilpin hall with a walkway to all the action. This 50 acre farm, owned by Sean and Manoo, provides organic produce for their restaurant, Sean’s Panaroma in Bondi.

Most of the activities will be the same of usual – the Apple Pie Bake-Off, judged by Sean and the winning pies auctioned, craft and local produce stalls, kids activities with wool, tai chi in the Wolllemi demonstrations, live music, farm animals, etc.
Shearing starts at 8.00am, winning pies announced around 11.00am, followed by the auction. Food includes Mt Tomah BBQ bonanza, Sean’s wood fired roast, Bilpin School goodies.
The Back to Back Challenge is for a team of eight (one blade shearer and seven spinners/knitters) to shear a sheep, spin the wool and complete a sweater (identical adult pattern worldwide) in 8 hours. We hope to rise to the challenge!
The date for the 19th challenge at other venues is on or before Sunday, 9 June.
Entry: Gold coin donation. All money raised for Cancer Council NSW (prostate cancer research.) Last year we raised over $11,000. We hope for more this year.
