The opening event of the Migrations and Cultural Textiles Rug Project is combined with a seminar on Thursday 29 October in EG02, UNSW A&D lecture theatre and ADspace.
When:
4 to 5pm: Cultural Textiles students present their projects and designs.
5pm to 6pm: Presentation by Julie Ryder, Canberra based textile artist exhibiting in Migrations
6pm to 7pm: opening of the exhibition with refreshments
7pm to 8pm: Presentation by Dr Jessica Hemmings, curator of Migrations and editor of Cultural Threads: transnational textiles today.
Where: ADspace gallery, E block, UNSW Art & Design The closest entrance to the gallery is the main entrance marked on this map in Napier Street near Greens Road just up from the intersection of Greens Road and Oxford Streets. Once inside the campus, there are signs to the gallery and lecture theatre.
